Japan , unforgettable memories

Here we are back to this corner to show you what we have done in Japan!
I have met old friends, my daughter made new ones and we are all delighted by so many wonderful memories we are making here.
This is Camila and her new friend Mayumi who took great care of her while visiting Tokyo Disney, she enjoyed Mayumi`s company for her kindness and her patience and she really will remember this day to tell everybody when she gets back home.

Back in Tokyo with my parents, we went to visit some very touristic places near our hotel and there were colorful stores everywhere , we walked under a very cold weather, especially for us, tropical creatures, this was killing!!!

Looking at kids old wooden toys...

Amazing KIMONO fabrics!!

Hotel amenities included foot massage!!! So perfect after a whole day walking!

My dad took us to this Cafeteria that I used to go when I lived in Japan almost 12 years ago , it hasn´t changed , the same old smell of coffee and delicious food in a very small cozy house.

They serve delicious desserts!

Madonna Pomodoro is the name of this small cafeteria and after having tea and cake my brother called us , he was in town with his wife and we went to have dinner at this fantastic sushi house called Kappa Sushi.

Kids love this restaurant for its non stop service of many dishes coming in front of them and they can pick anything they want.
The price is good and the food... yummy if you like Sushi and other Japanese food, this is the place!

Come join us!

Now we are in Kyoto city, we asked for the taxi driver to take us to a short sightseeing and he showed us fantastic spots like these...

Japanese gardens
Kimono fashion

Temples

I felt I was back in time, centuries ago for the way people keep these old places so beautiful , clean and open for us, tourists to visit .
We met some friends in Kyoto and we had dinner together, these past few days have been very busy but I promise I will visit everyone´s blog when I get back to Brazil, to my home. Thank you for visiting my blog and thank you for your patience .

Have a wonderful week everyone and see you in a few days!!!

An amazing day

C. and her Dad went out for an expedition on the sea with a group and they had the best time of their lives...

All these images thrilled them and it´s really amazing how close they get , they come to these waters and they stay at this area for the warmer water. The female whales come to give birth and nurse their whale calf.
No more words to say, just to watch and contemplate...

Have a beautiful and amazing day!

By the seashore

Here we are again by the seashore and a girl that shouts out loud as she finally finds out all the amazing blue sea ~ sky right in front of her!

Exploring nature...

The sand is warm and cozy and it makes us feel like staying for a long time , just to forget the hours, the watch, the cell phone... just contemplate...

If you look around you will see how much nature has to tell us.
Suddenly we met some local people with a plastic trash bag in hands collecting plastic waste brought from the sea ( not a treasure, at all! ) but I believe that each of us can make something to turn it a wonderful place to live in the future, don´t you?

In the afternoon we went to the dunes, Mama didn´t climb up all those high sand mountain but daughter and father did and they took this pictures for you!

They met some cute little creature that played with them...

And on our way back home we saw this ♥ shaped lake , I think Lori ( times five) would love this!

See you sooner than soon! Tomorrow is whale watching day!!! I´m excited to see what will emerge from the waters...

To the beach!

We decided to get some days off and we´re spending our days at the beach in a very beautiful , quiet and almost desert place hidden somewhere in this planet...

They say that many whales come by this time of the year and we are excited to watch them and meanwhile we are just watching the hours flying by...

It´s quite chilly even it´s Spring , this season sounds like Fall but I like it anyway!

We left home under the rain but then when we got here, the rays of sun appeared to us

Precious findings at the beach

A lonely sea , some footsteps and nothing else but the sound of the wind and the waves

Looking for the perfect seashell

Because there are so many to look for...

May you find comfort, peace and joy, wherever you are!

See you in a few days...

Home, sweet home

The "delicious" kid´s menu in the flight going home. Well, that´s what she said , believe it or not!

And she played , slept and listened to the music... oh, how about this mood of hers??? I was so tired but I couldn´t get any sleep in the plane.
Actually when I got home I slept from time to time in the afternoon and more sleeping tight at night.
Although I miss all the adventures we had, there´s nothing like home, right?
===================================================================

And the day after getting home, she stayed in her Pjs until 2 PM !
We decided doing some crafting because we felt this need of doing something "creative" and messy!

Take a look at this fantastic art kit of Matrioska she got as a gift from her aunt who went to Russia last month.

It´s wood turned and you can paint them with your favorite colors... it was just a little hard to read and understand it!

It´s very easy and fun!
No reading required.

Actually it´s not that messy! Just be careful, introspective, be in a quiet room and...

Here they are!
Have them dried carefully and put them inside.
So much fun ! The first crafting time of the new year!

And I hope you all have plenty of time for crafting, sewing, knitting , reading or whatever your heart wants, it´s a wonderful feeling!!!!

Have a very inspiring week and thank you for reading my posts from the US, I had learned so much from visiting, observing, admiring and knowing other countries' culture and I also have experienced that respecting nature is the best thing you can do for the next generation, they do deserve that, don´t they?

Postcards from the US - Day 10

Just to celebrate the last night in the California Coast, a bite on Marie Callender´s cookie as dessert! Thanks to my brother who suggested this outstanding place to finish our trip!

Lots of goodies we would love to take home but that will just be kept in our memories :(

Postcards from the US - Day 9 / Part II

Santa Monica - the next stop, we strolled along the "Promenade" in the evening , just steps from the seaside, and boy, it was crowded but full of good energy and there was a little time to savor, sip and see the local life!

"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you´re gonna get."
Do you remind these words?

Redondo Beach - We had such an inventive menu at this seafood restaurant Bluewater Grill , like this:
Diced Ahi Tuna with spicy sauce, sushi rice and wonton pieces like a sandwich...

Observe the ocean, the nature is right here...

right on Camila´s crocs! how pretty is it?

Taking a walk along Santa Monica´s beach near the harbor...

Is there always so perfect? The temperature was cozy, the air was clear and well, I must have more exhilarating list of things to tell about this part of California!

Time to pause: at the hotel room... phew, what a day!

Time to get some rest...
